Founder & Producer
With 20 years of experience in Audiovisual Production, ranging from Television to Cinema, including Advertising and content production for streaming platforms. Collaborated with NBP, RTP, SIC, Madragoa Filmes, and SP Televisão.
Served as Line Producer for the series “Conta-me como Foi” from 2005 to 2008; Production Director for series such as “Pai à Força,” “Maternidade,” “Lua Vermelha,” and “Família Mata.” In 2011, my first feature film titled “Assim-Assim,” co-produced with Director Sérgio Graciano, premiered in theaters in collaboration with Warner Bros – Portugal.
In the advertising field, which I have dedicated myself to for the past 12 years, I have worked as a producer for P35, Molotov, 78 Films, and as a Production Manager for service production companies such as Readytoshoot, Landia, and Twenty Four Seven.

Sérgio Barata’s journey began in advertising in 1980, working at agencies such as McCann-Ericson and FCB, where he was recognized with an excellence award in the TV Producer category.
Sérgio Barata has also been honored three times with RTC awards and received the Solidarity award presented by the Association of Advertising Producers and Directors. He has worked with companies such as Abacate, Tejo Filmes, Costa do Castelo, and Panorâmica 35…

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to still and moving images. When I was 11 years old, during afternoons with friends, we would recreate scenes from our favorite films using the camera belonging to one of my friends’ fathers. It was at this point that I decided I wanted to be the “Camera man” 🙂
Since then, my dream has always been to do something related to imagery, video… photography… Over the past 15 years, I have enriched my professional career. I have worked on various projects, both developing and collaborating on them, and they have all allowed me to acquire technical skills that have propelled me forward in my art. I started with the frame, and when I discovered the Steadicam, I fell in love with its infinite possibilities.
It took many years of dedication to reach the position of Director of Photography… and it still does… and that is what enables me to write with light and convey the emotions experienced and felt. From recording sports competitions (soccer, basketball) to live multicamera fiction, music videos, advertising, documentaries, and corporate projects, my professional experience is extensive and makes me the visual craftsman I am today.
